Positron spectroscopy is a non-destructive method for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of material properties on the nanometer scale. Method with the highest sensitivity to defect concentrations and their changes. Only method to characterize free volume in plastics. Allows pore size determination of thin films (5-500 nm) for open and closed pore systems (incl. pore size distribution).
