Industry Talk - Digital continuity - From the requirement to the developed product.
In the second lecture of the series "Industrie Talk", Rik Rasor , group leader at Fraunhofer IEM for Digital Engineering and researcher from the collaborative project MoSyS , with the topic of digital continuity and how this can be implemented tool-technically.
In the talk, Mr. Rasor looks at the phases in the course of the product life cycle from the customer's request to the various process stages along the V-model to the creation of bills of materials for production. The tool landscape offers many solution characteristics, of which Mr. Rasor demonstrates a selected one in the context of a live demo and highlights the special advantages of continuous traceability and change adaptation via the discipline- and phase-specific tools.
Even if, for example. a component needs to be added at a late stage in development, the solution shown links a bill of materials to the previous tools and artifacts in such a way that only the change needs to be confirmed, but in no way executed manually.
In addition to the tool vendor-specific solution characteristics, the round of questions that followed the presentation also dealt with generally applicable possibilities for implementation, which can be pushed by possible standardizations. Keywords here were for example the OSLC or ReqIF.
